New Year's Resolutions!!!

Let's start off with some basics, of course:
  1. Run a minimum of 3, maximum of 5 days a week. Starting off at 3 miles and working my way up.
  2. No more fast food.
  3. No more soda, which I don't do anyway usually so it won't be too hard.
  4. MAYBE give up red meat again. I'm going to contemplate it for the rest of the night and get back to this.
  5. Limit myself to 1.5 hours of internet a day. Probably going to be my hardest resolution... But I spend so much time on here wasting my life away when I should be outside, or reading, or seeing people/the world. It's gotten to a ridiculous point.
  6. Stop cussing like a sailor. It's a trashy and unladylike habit that needs to go.
  7. Speaking of habits.. Stop biting my nails and cuticles completely. I've stopped biting my nails for the most part, but I'm still biting around them a lot and it looks awful.

After graduation plans.

Option 1: Go straight into grad school.
Well, it'd actually be a semester late, because I missed the deadline for fall 2012. I think... I could get my masters in social work or criminology or cj, get thousands of dollars in debt, spend more time in school.... BUT I would have  a masters, could finish in less than 2 years, and be able to teach. But.. meh.

Option 2: Move to Gulf Shores right after graduation
I have connections there, could get a job as a server at the hangout, be a beach bum for 6 months - a year before starting my career. Live life paycheck to paycheck, party all night, beach all day when I'm not at work. Want.

Option 3: Travel
This is my favorite option. Continue to save up money, couch surf, cheap hostels, shacks, have a miserable job and, again, live paycheck to paycheck, anything to spend time in over countries. Ideally in a Spanish speaking country, or the UK... Life is too short to not explore the world.

Option 4: Start trying to get my career started immediately after graduation
My least favorite option. Meh.

Short (ish) Term Goals.

The next semester, through May, I have to get things together.

  • Lose weight/tone up.
    • Running at least 3 miles a day, 4 days a week. At least.
    • Eating no more than 1,300 calories a day.
      • No eating fast food, no cokes, no going overboard on sweets.
  • Save up money, and lots of it. I have a number I'm aiming for, but I'll just keep that to myself :) It's definitely doable, but it's going to take A LOT of saving up/no being frivolous. What do I want to do with this money, you ask?
    • TRAVEL
  • Strengthen nails. This may not seem like a big deal, but I am so tired of my brittle, crappy nails that I can't grow out. They look awful, and, as silly as it is, I'm pretty self conscious about it.
    • Take Biotin every day.
    • Always have on a strengthener.
  • Work on being productive, getting stuff done, not being lazy. Building my character, so to say.
